The Pantry now has three locations: There’s the original Route 9 retail outlet where you can pick up beans or brews (it’s also a bottle shop); if you’re strolling around Cold Spring, stop in Cold Spring Apothecary to visit their roasting outpost, where you can simultaneously indulge in a latte and a lavender-scented candle; most recently, they’ve opened another outpost at Peekskill Brewery. At each location, you’ll find various specialty products, from their bean blends to fresh-pressed juices, canned cold brew, even espresso powder for cooking purposes.

Outdated Café
314 Wall St; Kingston
At this Stockade District spot, browse vintage trinkets, baseball cards, briefcases, even furniture while sipping on your morning cup. The assortment of antiques is constantly changing, since everything here is for sale, from the shelves full of eclectic knick-knacks to the artwork lining the walls to the chair you’re sitting on. Beverages run the range of standards, plus some fun specialties like the beet latte, Golden Milk (turmeric latte), or Chai-cider fusion, “Chaider.” Lucky for Kingstonites, they recently opened a Midtown location, too: Outdated Lite.

Meadowbloom Coffee & Flowers
Throughout the Hudson Valley and the Catskills
Nothing improves a cup of coffee like a bouquet of flowers. At least, that’s how husband-and-wife team Lawrence Braun and Jessica Suda feel. The pair of organic farmers started their mobile coffee/pop-up shop last August and have been combing the country for caffeine cravers in a 1969 Dodge A-108 ever since. Meadowbloom serves organic, direct trade coffee at events, workshops, markets, and festivals. Their beverage selection includes shrub sodas, herbal tonics, and as of next summer, kombucha. And did we mention they offer floral arranging and design, as well as coffee consultations for businesses?

Moto Coffee Machine
357 Warren St; Hudson
Motorcycles and macchiatos might not be the first pairing that comes to mind when you’re opening a coffee shop, but from the popularity of Moto Coffee Machine, there’s quite an underserved market. Half the space is a motorcycle-themed café serving coffee and espresso with seasonal specials like espresso tonic and maple lattes, while past the tables of congregating customers things get a bit grittier with a full-blown motorcycle shop. Peruse jackets, pants, bikes, and other essentials. You might even catch a mechanic knocking around the adjacent muscle shop. Double capp and a Ducati, anyone?
