I became interested in fashion at the age of 12 when a friend gave me my first fashion magazine. I was hooked instantly, and I read it until I practically memorized each page. Trends, styling ideas, designers, the business — it was all so foreign, yet so wonderful. I did as much research about the industry as I could, and the more I learned, the more I loved it.
Although all the studying helped me learn about the business of the industry, what taught me the most were clever, inspiring words of wisdom from fashion icons and writers. Their words helped me see the world differently as well as understand the purpose of fashion. I’m excited to share of few of my favorite quotes with you, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have over the years.
