Feb. 5: Hunter Mountain Snow Bowl Get into Super Bowl Sunday form when you head down the race course in honor of your favorite NFL team wearing your favorite jersey and carrying a football all the way across the finish line. All ages welcome, and touchdown dances are encouraged. Wear a Super Bowl contender’s jersey and participate for free, or wear another jersey and participate for $5. Feb. 9–11: Times Union Home Expo In its 38th year, this home show is the largest and longest running consumer expo in the Capital Region with more than 8,000 attendees. It features new products, helpful hints, fresh ideas, and great deals with hundreds of experts. Vendors include remodelers, boats, tractors, RVs, builders, decorators, and home improvement experts in the area to help you compare and shop for your home needs. Feb. 10: 31st Annual WinterFest in Clifton Park Keep warm this winter with some hot soup, singing, and sleigh riding. This fun event features the Taste of Clifton Park Best Soup Contest, a Clifton Park Idol singing competition, a community chorus performance, horse-drawn sleigh rides, a winter nature tour, face painting, and more. 11 a.m.-4 p.m., free. Feb. 10: Sticky: Valentine’s Show A combination of short immersive plays that take place in a bar with musical and comedic improv. Sticky was started in 2000 by David Marcus and Libby Emmons of Hudson Valley Improv and has successfully grown over the years. Feb. 17: President’s Style Torchlight Bash at Belleayre Mountain An evening of family fun skiing the mountain at night in a torchlight parade in honor of our former Presidents. Food and beverages will continue after the lifts stop spinning in Groomers Pub & Lounge. Feb. 24: 21st Annual Chili Bowl Fiesta Hosted by the Women’s Studio Workshop, more than 1,000 handmade clay bowls, mugs, and tumblers are created throughout the year by staff and local artists to be purchased and filled with a free helping of delicious chili at this yearly fund-raising event. Enjoy live musical entertainment and raffle drawings while enjoying various types of chili for meat-lovers and vegetarians.
