Sip in the Sunshine at These Outdoor Happy Hours

Share

Imagine this. You’re sitting on the patio with friends, basking in the warm glow of sunshine at the end of the day. An ice-cold beer or a chilled glass of white wine rests on the table in front of you, accompanied by gourmet snacks and small bites. A summer breeze blows through the air, gently rocking the picnic umbrella above you.

Does it get any better than this?

As far as summer moments go, it’s hard to beat the simple pleasure of an outdoor happy hour. Lucky for us, the Hudson Valley has some of the best pickings around. Hit one of these hotspots for sweet sips and an inviting ambiance.

Although the interior of Heritage deserves its own shout-out, the outdoor patio space is the place to be during spring and summer evenings. Head to the Wappingers eatery Monday to Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. for discounted drink specials. $5 well drinks, draft beers, and wines pair beautifully with $1 East Coast Oysters. If you need a bigger snack, order the $6 General Tso’s cauliflower. One taste and you’ll forget you’re eating a vegetable.
