Voted by our readers as Hudson Valley magazine’s “Best Brunch” in 2016, Mill House Brewing Company (MHBC) in Poughkeepsie has a diverse food and drink menu sure to please everyone. “‘Meat First’ is our motto,” says Jeremy Speck, General Manager at MHBC. “Everything is made fresh in-house with local ingredients, including our sausages and smoked meats.”
The à la carte Sunday Brunch menu offers a mix of breakfast options, but the guest favorite is the Fried Chicken and Belgian Waffles with apple butter, Sriracha honey, and New York State syrup, served with a side of hash brown tots. Heartier lunch options include the “Porkey” Burger and Bill’s house-smoked Pastrami Sandwich, with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, beer mustard and Russian dressing, served with a side of kettle chips seasoned with Old Bay.
Don’t miss specialty dishes like the hand-crafted sausages and wood-fired pizzas. The Kielbasa with cheddar cheese curd, sauerkraut and potato filled pierogies, with sautéed onion, and caraway sour cream is a crowd pleaser; as is the signature Fig & Pig Pizza with smoked mozzarella, house-made duck bacon, black mission figs, arugula, and aged balsamic.
Pair your food with one of MHBC’s 10 craft beers made on-premise or sip a craft cocktail like Michelada con Cerdo made with a MHBC Kold One Kolsch beer, fresh lime, house-made Bloody Mary mix, served in a glass with chili-lime salt, topped with a stout float, and served with a Sweet Chili Glazed Pork Belly Skewer.
Brunch is served Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations are encouraged.
