My byline says Alexandra, but I typically always go by Ali. When I’m not busy binge-watching Netflix documentaries or dining out, I’m a Marist communications major with a concentration in journalism and I have earned my paralegal certificate. As a Long Island native, I admit I’ll likely end up in New York City after I graduate — every college kid’s dream, eh? But now that senior year is coming to a close, and even though the Hudson Valley has been my home since my freshman year, I realized I have yet to fully explore all that it has to offer.
So while I’m trying to figure out post-grad life, I’m compiling a list of “must dos” in the Hudson Valley. It’s finally time to seize the opportunity and venture out to places like the historical Franklin Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, enjoy the comfort of nature while hiking the Mohonk Preserve, adventure around Woodstock, and kick back at a drive in movie before I leave the area.
Those are just a few on my bucket list to visit good restaurants, shops, and other landmarks. I’ll be blogging my excursions weekly and, with the clock ticking, I hope I can get it all in!
