Feb. 11: The Friends & Family Concert The Westchester Philharmonic welcomes Conductor Ted Sperling with Kelly Hall-Tompkins on violin. Hall-Tompkins is a Naumburg Competition winner and Concert Artists Guild Grant recipient and an in-demand violinist on Broadway. Jazz in the Snow: One Love is an experience of “Jazz through the Islands” with soul and jazz vocalist Shenel Johns exploring her Jamaican roots inspired by historical reggae singer-songwriters. Johns is joined by an acoustic duo in this unique premiere mixing African rhythms and Island Jazz with a repertoire including rare Bob Marley cuts, Desmond Decker, Bitty McLean, and gospel from the islands.
