The cozy interior of this converted red barn (once the home of the village tailor) is just as enchanting as the storybook walk through the pretty yard which leads to the front door. Serving a top-of-the-line local seasonal menu and an array of classic baked goods, the Village TeaRoom is a go-to destination for special occasions and for its famous “afternoon tea.”

The full shebang is $22 for one person ($40 for two) and includes a scone with to-die-for clotted cream and raspberry jam, an assortment of finger sandwiches, a plate of cookies, and — naturally — a pot of tea (there are more than 25 types to choose from). The children’s tea, with mini scones and tiny PB&J sandwiches, keeps the pint-sized ones happy, too.
