Are you looking to entertain your kids this summer without breaking the bank? Now that the Valley’s HoeBowl Family Fun Centers have teamed up with KidsBowlFree.com, you can strike a balance on your budget.
Parents who register their children (ages 15 and under) at KidsBowlFree.com receive coupons via e-mail that are valid for two free bowling games at HoeBowl centers every day from now through September 5. Participating locations are Holiday Bowl in Wappingers Falls, Mardi-Bob in Poughkeepsie, Orange Lanes in Walden, HoeBowl on the Hill in Kingston, and Catskill Lanes in Catskill.
“It’s our way of giving back to our local community for all their support throughout the school year and winter months,” says HoeBowl General Manager A.J. Forrest.
Besides keeping summer boredom at bay, bowling is a great way for kids to take part in the President’s Active Lifestyle Award (PALA) challenge. To earn this award, kids must be physically active for 60 minutes a day, at least five days a week, for six out of eight weeks. Complete the challenge by throwing strikes at HoeBowl, and mom or dad can buy you a PALA T-shirt, lapel pin, or bumper sticker with the money they saved.
