Margaret asks: “I am having a wedding reception with round tables that seat eight people each. How much room is needed between each table?”
Dear Margaret: How nice of you to make sure that your guests are comfortable! Here are the rules of thumb: For a sit-down dinner, aside from main traffic areas, allow a minimum of 48″ and, if possible, as much as 54″ between round tables. This will accommodate a chair and service space.
