Gay weddings pose a whole bunch of unique planning issues, including ones of nomenclature.
A local couple asks…
“We’re at a standstill about what to call the members of our wedding party. We’re also stuck about how we should walk down the aisle — neither of us wants to be the ‘bride.’ Can you help?”
The Wedding Guru says…
Of course! Regarding your attendants, the simple solution is that you call them groomsmen and groomsmaids. As for walking down the aisle, you can each walk with a parent, both parents, or a close relative. You can even draw straws to see who goes first.
