This superb collection of seven different shops, located at a luxurious resort/day spa, offers charm galore.
Ambiance: Encompassing more than 15,000 sq ft, the shops are in a converted barn that features high ceilings, old, reclaimed brick floors, and pillars of hand-hewn wood. Offerings are displayed on antique replica cabinetry, hutches, credenzas, and sideboards.
Vibe: Staffed by longtime employees who often personally know the artisans behind some of the products featured, you’ll find something for everyone at all price points.

Mix: Shops include The General Store, for local products like maple syrup, honey, pickled garlic, truffles, and candies; Home and Garden for ceramic pottery, individual tin letters, signs with witty sayings, Christmas ornaments, and an extensive bath and body section; the Toy Chest, stocked with educational and classic toys, crafts kits, and plush animals; Waldo’s Trading Post for Catskill-branded apparel, souvenirs, and pet treats; the Men’s Shop, offering casual, classic, and comfortable men’s fashions; Melina’s Boutique, for timeless, comfortable, and stylish women’s fashions and accessories, including jewelry; and the Kaleidostore, showcasing some 50 specialty kaleidoscopes — and the world’s largest kaleidoscope: a multimedia experience with moving images and theatre-quality sound (admission $5, free for children age 11 and under).
