Open for a little more than a year, Kitchen Sink Food & Drink has already become a staple in Beacon — and a fan favorite. Voted “Best New Restaurant 2016” by our readers, Kitchen Sink serves up “feel-good food” in a cozy atmosphere.
Owner and Chef Brian Arnoff has been working in the restaurant industry since he was 15. After three and a half years running CapMac — a macaroni and cheese food truck — in Washington, D.C., Chef Arnoff sold his business with a plan to return to the Hudson Valley. “I wanted to move back to a place where the food is grown,” explains Chef Arnoff. “Farm-to-table isn’t a catchphrase for us, it‘s a reality. We feature produce from our own family farm, Truckload Farm, in Hyde Park and work hard everyday to get as many ingredients from the beautiful Hudson Valley as we possibly can.”
The brunch menu updates regularly to reflect what’s going on seasonally. Some recent standouts are the homemade Southern-style biscuit with crispy chicken and pimento cheese, and the Huevos Rancheros, composed of cauliflower marinated in chorizo-flavored sauces layered between crispy tortillas, refried black beans, and sour cream, all topped with guacamole and a fried egg. Got a sweet tooth? The Sticky Buns are sure to satisfy your cravings.
Brunch is served on Sundays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Dine indoors or enjoy seating on the outdoor patio, weather permitting. No reservations.
