Farmers & Chefs

An extension of Le Express in Poughkeepsie, Farmers & Chefs is the brick red rover that frequents an impressive number of festivals and events across the Hudson Valley. Owner John Lekic prioritizes fresh, seasonal ingredients that highlight the best of what the Hudson Valley has to offer. Because of this, each trip to the truck is a unique, delicious experience.

Lekker

In addition to holding down a storefront in Stone Ridge, Lekker, which means “delicious” in Dutch, also serves up scrumptious eats via its bright orange and red food truck. If you spot the van around town, order up the farm fresh fare, which includes bites like carnitas, truffle goat cheese fries, and seasonal salads.

Meadowbloom

Housed in a 1969 A-108 van, Meadowbloom is a traveling coffee and flower shop owned by a husband-and-wife duo. Sip on refreshing drinks like nitro cold brew stout, cold pressed citrus vanilla shrub soda, and warm King State Coffee. Don’t forget to pick up a bouquet of cheery wildflower blooms to go with your caffeine fix.

Poppy’s Farm-to-Trailer

If you love burgers and farm-to-table fare, then a trip to Poppy’s is a no-brainer. The pint-sized trailer uses 100 percent grass-fed beef from the Hudson Valley in its burgers, which are nothing short of scrumptious. As for vegetarian options, the Veggie Burger, a homemade organic crispy bean patty with slaw, cheese, diced onions, aioli, and tomato will satiate meat and non-meat eaters alike. Get a side order of sweet potato chips and say hello to lunchtime nirvana.

Wandering Dago

Primarily a wedding catering company, the navy blue Wandering Dago truck makes appearances at foodie events in and around the Albany region. On hot days, order up one of the creamy milkshakes, which come in flavors like raspberry cheesecake, cookies and cream, and salted caramel, or keep it light with a fresh, crunchy salad. The “Pride” salad, with chopped kale, shaved Brussels sprouts, dried cranberries, gorgonzola, and a honey lemon vinaigrette, is a flavor powerhouse.
