Steeped in history and surrounded by the imposing granite halls of the U.S. Military Academy, MacArthur’s Riverview Restaurant in the historic Thayer Hotel at West Point is unlike any other in the area. Visited by past U.S. Presidents, international leaders and celebrities alike, the Thayer Hotel is a national historic treasure.
The award-winning Sunday Champagne Brunch at the Thayer is prepared by a staff trained at the Culinary Institute of America and led by Executive Chef Lee Clements. The buffet choices are unmatched — with choices like giant shrimp, smoked salmon, and an array of salads, plus a decadent dessert station — and live-action cooking stations for everything from waffles to traditional Bananas Foster will ensure you leave feeling more than satisfied. Your choice of unlimited champagne, Mimosas or Bloody Marys is included.
Perched on a hilltop, the restaurant’s Gothic windows offer guests incredible views of the Hudson River and the beautiful grounds of United States Military Academy. Sunday Brunch guests are also treated to live piano music during their meal.
Reservations are strongly recommended. There are three seatings for Sunday Brunch on non-holiday weekends at 10:30 a.m., 11 a.m., and 1:30 p.m. Additional seatings are added on holidays. The cost is $39.95 for adults, half price for kids, and free for children under 5. A 20 percent discount for active and retired military members is always honored.
