Alyssa asks: “I’m forced to limit my budget for our wedding — I decided to have a videographer, but forgo a photographer. Still, I wish there was a way for me to have at least some still photos from my wedding. Any ideas?”
Dear Aylssa: There are several things you can do. First, ask if your videographer can extract stills from the video. Talk to him/her, and they’ll explain the process to you. Another suggestion is, in lieu of having a photographer shoot at your wedding, you can make arrangements to go the photographer’s studio either before or after your wedding. Get everyone dressed in wedding regalia and have the photographer do some portrait shots. This will be a less expensive option.
