Mar 3: Clearwater Sloop Open Boat
Pete Seeger and his friends began to sail the Clearwater Sloop as a means of educating Hudson Valley residents of the dangers of pollution in their River. Today, it serves as an educational vessel of a different sort, with open boat stops that allow kids and school groups to learn about all aspects of the Hudson River Watershed, as well as science lessons and care for nature.
