Embrace your inner Jon Snow or Daenerys Targaryen for special GoT trivia, ax throwing, and watch parties around the Hudson Valley.

Who will win the game of thrones? The hype is real, and season eight almost here. While we can’t tell you who will take the crown when the final season of Game of Thrones debuts on April 14, we can tell you where to catch the nonstop drama of the seven kingdoms in the Hudson Valley. So break out your special house t-shirt (because you know you have one) and maybe a fluffy coat, too. Winter is here.

 

Game of Thrones Trivia Night

The Bayou Restaurant, 580 Gramatan Ave, Mount Vernon
April 7, 8 p.m.

Do you know who the “the king beyond the wall” is? Seize your chance to show off your Game of Thrones knowledge or learn more in advance of season eight. Come on down to The Bayou’s third Game of Thrones trivia night, where you can win a replica of Jon Snow’s steel sword, Long Claw. In addition to the Q&A competition, there will be a special GoT menu and drinks, a cosplay contest, raffles, and a chance to win a replica of Arya Stark’s sword, Needle.

How many dire wolves did the Stark family find? If you think you know, round up your GoT-loving friends and head to Max’s on Main’s special trivia night. While you’re there you can speculate with your group about who will be the ultimate ruler.

Game of Thrones Themed Dinner

Crew Restaurant & Bar, 2290 South Rd, Poughkeepsie
April 11, 6:30- 9:30 p.m.

Prepare to feast on a four-course meal during Crew’s GoT-themed dinner with mini pork pies, fruit soup, and sweet corn fritters. Costumes are welcome, and you can dress up as Sansa Stark, Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, or Daenerys Targaryen. Reservations are required.

 

Game of Thrones Tap Takeover and Watch Party

April 12-14, 6-10 p.m.

Jon Snow, is that you? Join fans at Quinnz Pinz for a weekend full of all things GoT, with a special opening night watch party and one of the Ommegang “Game of Thrones” beers on tap. Game of Thrones Premiere Axe Throwing Challenge

Make like the King of the North and up your ax throwing game at QB this month. Just in time for season eight, QB Ball hosts an ax throwing contest to see who has the most power in all the seven kingdoms. During the challenge, take breaks to catch up on GoT episodes, then stick around to see who wins the high stakes competition and goes home with their very own Game of Thrones pint glasses and an Amazon Fire Tablet.

 

Game Of Thrones & Ommegang Tap Takeover

Brickhouse, 20 S Broadway, Nyack
April 14, 7-10 p.m.

Head to this Nyack hotspot on show day to catch the last two episodes of season seven along with the premiere of the final season on the big screen. Mark the historic occasion by sipping on Ommegang Brewery’s “Bend the Knee” beers, which were made for those who rule the seven kingdoms: King in the North, Mother of Dragons, Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, Hand of the Queen, and For the Throne. The event is free and for mature, 21-plus audiences only.
