Troy, July 4 

What better way to celebrate our nation’s independence than in the setting of America’s national pastime? Watch a Tri-City ValleyCats game at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium and stay for the fireworks. Baseball game begins at 6:30 p.m.

 

Brewster, July 1

The Southeast Fireworks Extravaganza begins at 8 p.m. with the band Saving Athens. Highlands  Shopping Center, Independent Way, Brewster.

Albany, July 4

New York State’s 4th of July Celebration features live music, family fun, and fireworks. 3 p.m.–10 p.m. Empire State Plaza.

Catskill, July 1 

 A live band, face-painting and, of course, fireworks are among the fun activities planned for Dutchman’s Landing Park. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m., and fireworks sponsored by the village and town of Catskill begin at 9:30 p.m. Dutchman’s Landing Park, Catskill

Kingston, July 4

Outdoor dining and live music precede the 9:30 p.m. fireworks at the annual Kingston Waterfront Fourth of July Celebration. 5–9 p.m.

West Point, July 8

Grab a blanket, and pack a picnic basket: there’s no better way to celebrate America’s independence than with the Army’s oldest band at the West Point Independence Day Celebration! As always, this performance concludes with a spectacular fireworks display over the Hudson River. 7:30 p.m.–9 p.m. 

Haverstraw, July 2

Enjoy a waterfront concert and watch the fireworks from Bowline Point Park on the shores of the Hudson River. Concert begins at 5 p.m., followed by fireworks.  

 

Valhalla, July 3 

The annual free Kensico Dam Music Fest will feature a performance by the Bensen-Scott Big Band. The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with fireworks at 9:15 p.m.

Poughkeepsie, July 4

The Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park is open to ticket-holders to watch the City of Poughkeepsie’s 4th of July fireworks display. Walkway closes at 5:30 p.m. to the general public, and reopens for the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at 7 p.m. Fireworks between  9–9:30 p.m. â€‹

Germantown, July 4 

Clermont State Historic Site’s Old-Fashioned Independence Day features 18th-century crafts, re-enactors, music and entertainment, hot food, and a view of the Saugerties fireworks over the Hudson River. 2–10 p.m.
