Enjoy a free tasting of Dassai Blue Brewery’s new Nigori sparkling sake this Thursday in Hyde Park. At the newly opened sake brewery in Dutchess County, Nigori is Dassai Blue’s fourth and latest product. The sparkling, cloudy sake is coarsely strained and created in the same style as champagne before being naturally fermented in a bottle. Along with the new beverage, indulge in oysters and lobster rolls from Oyster Party at the event.

The Pinkster Festival

Philipsburg Manor, Sleepy Hollow
May 25, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

What started as a Dutch holiday quickly became a celebration of African American history and culture in the Hudson Valley region. At Philipsburg Manor, experience the Pinkster Festival for a day filled with art, storytelling, dancing, and live music that commemorates the reunions of families and the importance of remembering our country’s history. Originally celebrating Pinkster in 1977, Philipsburg Manor’s festival is the longest-running recreation of Pinkster in North America.


Walkway Over the Hudson, Highland

MayFest is a farmers’ and makers market that takes place on the Highland side of the Walkway Over the Hudson. The festival brings a curated selection of goods from the region’s producers, including wine, food, art, home goods, fashion, and more to the rail trail for browsing and perusing all weekend long. More than 190 vendors will showcase their products and attendees can enjoy free samples, live performances, games, installations, and more this Memorial Day weekend.

Memorial Day Weekend Poolside Cookout

Hotel Lilien, Tannersville
May 26, 5–8 p.m.

This Memorial Day Weekend, kick off your summer at Hotel Lilien in Greene County for a taste of the south. The hotel is fires up the smoker poolside to bring Southern flavor upstate to guests as they enjoy the return of warmer weather. The menu includes pulled pork, brisket, cornbread, corn salad, cowboy beans, watermelon, and s’mores for dessert around the campfire. Throughout the day, DJ Sir Shorty will provide the tunes for a rockin’ holiday weekend.
