WPF Parks Are Essential Gala

The Westchester Park Foundation recognizes remarkable leadership in its communities this week at its annual Parks Are Essential Gala. The gala also celebrates a dedication to and support of Westchester County parks and the individuals, friends, and businesses that help these areas flourish and grow. All of the funds raised by the gala will benefit WPF’s programs and services towards preserving, enhancing, and beautifying the county’s parks.

Harvest Festival

Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site, Yonkers
September 23, 12–5 p.m.

This free, family-friendly outdoor festival will take you back in time to the 18th century with costumed reenactors and harvest-themed vendors. Historically, September was the time of year when tenant farmers on the Philipse Manor would harvest their wheat and was also apple harvest time in the orchards. Come out to the festival to learn all about the harvest processes, visit local vendors, try historical games, and watch reenactors.
