Nov 5: Holiday Book Signing It’s rare to chat with 15 prominent Hudson Valley authors in one place at the same time, but bibliophiles will have a chance to do just that. Some authors scheduled to sign their books for holiday purchases include historian Vern Benjamin (The History of the Hudson River Valley), Leslie Sharpe (The Quarry Fox), Hudson Talbott (River of Dreams), and Stephen Silverman (The Catskills). Nov 12: 46th Annual Train & Hobby Show People who share a fascination for railroads and trains will enjoy this popular event showcasing some outstanding train exhibits. Nov 13: A Lecture and Book Signing by Russell Shorto Introducing his latest publication, Revolution Song: A Story of American Freedom, author Russell Shorto brings to life the early days of America’s roots, exploring six lives through diaries and letters. Nov 18–19, Dec 2–3, 9–10: Wreath Fineries at the Wineries The Shawangunk Wine Trail boasts its most popular holiday event this season. Start at any of the 15 wineries along the trail where you’ll receive a souvenir wine glass, a grapevine wreath, and a festive ornament. Then travel along the Wine Trail, receiving a wine tasting and another beautiful ornament to decorate your wreath from each winery you visit. The Trail includes wineries in New Paltz, Highland Mills, Warwick, Pine Bush, Marlboro, and Washingtonville.
