This weekend, Smorgasburg Upstate — the food festival and curated flea market — returns to Kingston’s Hutton Brickyards. From May to October 2017, Smorgasburg will be in residence select weekends each month offering dozens of unique food items from some of the best chefs in the region, as well as locally-made craft beverages, desserts, music, family activities and over an acre of antiques, vintages curiosities, and regional products.
“We were absolutely thrilled by the response to the first season of Smorgasburg at the Hutton Brickyards, and believe the second season will only build on the initial momentum as people discover this amazing site on the Hudson River,” says Karl Slovin, President of MWest Holdings and owner of The Hutton Brickyards.
This year, Smorgasburg Upstate will offer more seating, more food and craft beer, and more of the Hudson Valley’s best makers and collectors.
Along with Smorgasburg Upstate’s monthly weekends, the Hutton Brickyards, together with Bardavon Presents, will host a kick-off concert event with Bob Dylan & His Band on Friday, June 23 and Saturday, June 24.
“This is an incredible opportunity for Kingston, not only because of the site’s history and expansive one-of-a-kind views of the Hudson River, but also because the efforts of MWest Holdings to preserve and re-purpose the remaining structures so that they can host unique events like Smorgasburg and this incredible Bob Dylan concert,” says Kingston Mayer Steve Noble.

The Hutton Brickyards will host many other exciting events designed to complement the facility’s unique setting and enhance the entertainment opportunities in the region. “The Hutton Brickyards is currently building relationships with the top wedding and event production companies from across the North East while also developing a stable of the best Hudson Valley providers of farm-to-table catering, local craft beverages and event production services,” Slovin continued. “Events at the Hutton Brickyards will be a unique combination of world-class entertainment, and production that is steeped in the history of the property.”
Smorgasburg at the Hutton Brickyards has no entrance fee and occurs one Saturday and Sunday per month. Currently the dates are May 20-21, June 17-18, July 15-16, August 19-20, September 16-17, and October 21-22. Bob Dylan & His Band will perform on June 23 and June 24. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
