Rev Your (Go-Kart) Engines at Newburgh's Epic Entertainment Center

Race on over to Grand Prix Orange County Racing and Entertainment for a day of laser tag and indoor go-kart racing.

Calling all The Fast and the Furious fans! This spring, a new entertainment center brings high speeds and even higher stakes to the heart of Orange County.

Ok, so Grand Prix Orange Racing & Entertainment might not be exactly up to speed with the high mileage of the iconic movie series, but it is hot stuff for adrenaline junkies in the Hudson Valley. Inside the 90,000-square-foot building, which opened in late March and is located in the Orange County Choppers building, a world of heart-racing action (read: indoor go-karting, laser tag, arcade games, and virtual reality) awaits.

Once inside Grand Prix Orange County, families can uncover a world of entertainment. As visitors hop from the jampacked arcade to the two-story laser tag arena to the thrilling race track, they can challenge friends to intense group competitions in which the last man (or woman) standing wins it all.

“We are very excited to add Grand Prix Orange County to our portfolio,” says Bill Diamond, CEO of Grand Prix Orange Country Racing and Entertainment and President of Diamond Properties, which also owns Spins Bowl centers in Carmel, Hudson, Mount Kisco, Poughkeepsie, and Wappingers Falls. “Transforming this property into an entertainment center will certainly bring this area of Newburgh and the surrounding communities a new outlet for family fun.”

While the expansive arcade and laser tag field are the main attractions at the Newburgh venue thus far, Grand Prix Orange County will add escape rooms in May and, as the pièce de résistance, a massive indoor race track later in summer.

Of course, there’s always a visit to Orange County Choppers, too. The motorcycle paradise led by bike icon Paul Teutul, Sr. is a must for visitors of all ages and interests. Whether you’re a fan of the show or just stopping by for the art, your jaw will drop as you take in the impressive collection of detailed bikes and motorcycle memorabilia housed onsite.

“We are excited for this new chapter in our building’s history. With Diamond Properties and the team at Grand Prix Orange County at the helm, our community is going to have a fantastic outlet for entertainment and family fun,” Teutul, Sr. observes.
