What is it about hot-air balloons that draws us in like a magnet? We don’t know, but we’re happy to fawn over the high-flying contraptions for as long as they continue to polka-dot the sky. This weekend, the Hudson Valley was lucky enough to celebrate not one, but two balloon-filled fests. Both the 27th Annual Hudson Valley Hot-Air Balloon Festival at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds and the inaugural Empire State Hot-Air Balloon Festival at Barton Orchards welcomed visitors from near and far to celebrate the launch of the best and brightest balloons in the region.
