We’ll be the first to declare that Burger & Beer Bash 2018 was a success. On August 9, more than a dozen vendors and hundreds of guests packed Dutchess Stadium in Wappingers Falls for an epic night of food and drink. The competition was fierce, to be sure. With some of the top names in the Hudson Valley food scene competing for the best burger award, it’s no surprise that each and every restaurant brought its A-game to the stadium.
After checking each and every burger off our to-eat list (it’s a hard job, but someone has to do it), we totaled the public votes to declare the Best of Burger Bash champions.
And the winner is…
The Filling Station brought major flavor to Burger & Beer Bash.
The Filling Station
45 South Route 9W, West Haverstraw / 243 Route 9W, Palisades
For the second year in a row, The Filling Station takes home the top prize, this time for its delectable 35-day dry age slider.
Second place goes to…

Henry’s at Buttermilk Falls
220 North Road, Milton
Henry’s wowed the crowd with a kobe beef slider topped with Irish cheddar and caramelized onions and served on a toasted potato roll. Of course, we can’t forget about those maple bacon duck fat fries either.
Rounding out third place is…
Heritage burgers sizzled with flavor.
Heritage Food + Drink
1379 Rte 9, Wappingers Falls
The relative newcomer to the Valley stole the show with a smoked bacon ranch burger made from a custom beef blend and topped with smoked bacon and a house smoked ranch sauce.
Congrats to our winners and a huge thank you to everyone who participated and turned out to help us celebrate. We’ll see you next year for an even more burgers and beer!
