Burger lovers flocked to Hudson Valley’s third annual Burger and Beer Bash on July 31 at the Shadow’s Marina in Poughkeepsie. Nineteen local restaurants dished out their signature sliders for a chance to be named the Hudson Valley’s burger champion. Mill House Brewing Company in Poughkeepsie was deemed the night’s “Best of the Bash” for its jalapeño cheddar ranch slider with bacon, pastrami, and roasted tomato cream. Second place went to Cosimo’s portobello veggie burger with white cheddar, and Whistling Willie’s American Grill nabbed third with two burgers: its lobster surf and turf, and pastrami-topped East Sider.
Crowd favorite Royal Khaoz put everyone in the summer spirit with reggae hits, and as the sun went down, the deejays of Music Speaks Volumes Entertainment transformed the tent into a riverside dance party.
