Mount Saint Mary College’s sixth annual Gala Reception was held on December 4 on the college’s Newburgh campus. At the event, the two recipients of the Joseph A. Bonura Award for Leadership Excellence were announced: Denise Doring VanBuren, VP of Public Relations at Central Hudson Gas & Electric; and Chairman and Co-CEO of Empire State Bank Anthony P. Costa. Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress celebrated its 50th anniversary on December 10 at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor. Special guest Daymond John — from reality TV show Shark Tank — delivered a $10,000 donation to Poughkeepsie High School’s Career Action Center, which offers paid internships to students. Goshen rang in the New Year with its first ever New Year’s Eve Ball Drop on December 31. The nonprofit group Illuminate Goshen organized an evening full of music, food, dancing, and a New York City-style ball drop. Getting in the party spirit are Molly O’Donnell, president of Illuminate Goshen, and village Mayor Kyle Roddey.
Dutchess Community College welcomed more than 200 guests to the 23rd annual President’s Breakfast on January 7 at its Poughkeepsie campus. College President Dr. Pamela Edington is flanked by Health Quest Senior VP Tim Massie (left) and Deputy County Executive William O’Neill.
Women from throughout Orange County gathered at Pucci Financial of Raymond James in Goshen on January 16 for Let’s Get Healthy, Let’s Get Pampered, Let’s Review Our Wealth. The event included wine tasting, a yoga workshop, and massage sessions. On hand were Pucci Financial’s Diane Nikeshin and Jennifer Pucci.
