June 16–18

This phone-free event is your chance to unplug, camp out, and enjoy three days of music. If you camp there, showers, toilets, water stations, and food trucks will be available. On the 2023 roster are alternative-rock acts U.S. Girls, Camp Saint Helene, and Melt; full line-up available online.

Follow the Arrow | Accord

June 17

This one-day fest features sets from jam pianist Marco Benevento, indie group Rubblebucket, folk quartet The Barr Brothers, and more on the grounds of the farm brewery.

Soulshine Festival | Accord

July 1

Radio Woodstock and Impact Concerts present a full day of rock and soul at Arrowood Farms. The event will be headlined by Michael Franti & Spearhead, with additional performances by Tank and the Bangas, Son Little, and The Big Takeover.

Pleasantville Music Festival | Pleasantville

July 8

This beloved festival returns for its 17th year. The line-up, which can be found on their website, features artists from alternative rock to bluegrass to funk. Plus: adults can grab a drink at the beer and wine garden, and kids will keep busy with a range of family-friendly activities.

Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival | Oak Hill

July 12–16

Held on the grounds of Walsh Farm, this annual multi-day celebration of bluegrass attracts thousands. Attendees can purchase single day passes or camp out for multiple days. This year’s line-up includes the 2023 artist-in-residence Jerry Douglas, Grammy-winning Infamous Stringdusters, and many more.

Hudson Valley Jazz Festival

August 9–13

Unlike other events on this list, the HV Jazz Festival isn’t only at one venue. Comprised of a series of concerts across the region, the fest presents a range of both well-known and up-and-coming jazz artists at restaurants, performing arts centers, parks, and more; exact line-up TBA.

Catskill Mountain Jubilee | East Jubilee

August 10–13

Grab a tent and stake out a spot on the grounds of Blackthorne Resort for three days—rain or shine—of tunes from jam bands like Almost Blind Faith, Laura Leigh and the Barn Family Band, and Hilltop.

Catbird Music Festival | Bethel

August 19–20

The inaugural Catbird Music Festival brings some of the biggest names in Americana and indie folk music. Featured artists include The Lumineers, Tyler Childers, Band of Horses, and The War on Drugs.

Cave Mountain Catskills Music Festival | Windham

September 15–16

Uniting big-name rock groups with up-and-coming singer-songwriters as well as jazz ensembles, 2023’s Cave Mountain kicks off its inaugural year at Windham Mountain. Along with performances from world-class performers, a range of food stands and vendors will be onsite, so you can grab a bite and souvenirs between sets. The lineup includes Weezer, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Courtney Marie Andrews, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band.
