Bravo Star Luann de Lesseps Brings Countess Cabaret to Peekskill

“Real Housewives of New York” favorite Luann de Lesseps brings her Countess Cabaret show to the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater.

While the Hudson Valley doesn’t yet have its own offshoot of The Real Housewives series, locals can rest assured knowing that The Real Housewives of New York City (RHONY) is a bingeworthy show with many of its stars now residing in the region. Later this month, one fan favorite finds herself in the Hudson Valley for other reasons, as she headlines her own wildly popular cabaret show at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater. Known ‘round the nation as Countess Luann, RHONY’s Luann de Lesseps is coming to Peekskill on November 30.

An original cast member of The Real Housewives of New York City, de Lesseps quickly gained a cult following for her personality on the show, earning the title of #1 Housewife by TV Guide as she topped all 46 housewives across every franchised city. In addition to her presence on the show, de Lesseps’ career has involved being a nurse, model, actress, author, philanthropist, singer, and cabaret entertainer.

For de Lesseps, entertaining was always a skill that came naturally to her. From starring in The Real Housewives to spin-offs like Luann and Sonja: Welcome to Crappie Lake and The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, she’s developed a cult following across the country. Originally, she started her Countess Cabaret shows as a way to show up for her fans in person.

“I started doing cabaret because one of my best friends said to me, ‘Lu, you love to host parties. You love to sing for your friends. Why not bring your fans into the mix?’” de Lesseps explains.

As a result, the idea for her Countess Cabaret series was born in 2017 when de Lesseps made her debut with “Countess and Friends” and started selling out shows across the country — including The Egg in Albany. Now, her newest show “Marry, F, Kill!” is touring around the nation and touches down at Peekskill’s Paramount Hudson Valley Theater this month. Directed by the iconic Richard Jay-Alexander — who is famously known for directing Barbra Streisand, Bette Midler, and Kristin Chenoweth — the cabaret show offers music, comedy, and engaging segments throughout.

“The show is a party; it’s pop culture meets cabaret meets comedy meets a fashion show. People are immersed and connected to the content,” says de Lesseps, adding that “I always say audiences drive in in a Toyota and drive out in a Rolls Royce because they don’t know what to expect.”

At “Marry, F, Kill!,” de Lesseps pulls her audience into the show, involving them in games and other fun cabaret surprises. As always, music is a big part of the evening, and guests can expect a range of personally curated pop and show tunes, as well as de Lesseps’ own original penned hits like “Money Can’t Buy You Class,” “Feelin’ Jovani,” “Girl Code,” “Chic C’est La Vie,” “Viva La Diva,” and, of course, her newest release “Marry F Kill.”

Luann de Lesseps will perform in her “Marry, F, Kill!” cabaret show at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill on November 30 at 8 p.m. Tickets are available here.
