July 8: Early Morning Bird Walks Join Mohonk Preserve Conservation Science staff on an early morning one- to two-mile walk while bird-watching. No experience necessary, beginners welcome. Bring binoculars if you own a pair (a few pairs will be available). July 15–16: Family Overnight Campout Enjoy nature, food, and fun while camping with the whole family. Participants will enjoy a barbecue, and then explore moonlit trails with a naturalist in search of various night creatures. Later on, there’s storytelling and s’mores by the fire. July 17–21: Snapology Mid-Hudson Valley LEGO Summer Camp Children 5+ will participate in Star Wars themed activities, build scenes from the movie, ships, light sabers, and more. They will also bring Minecraft to life using LEGOs and create a world of animals, creepers, and their very own Minecraft character. In Kinderbots, children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. July 24–29: The Missoula Children’s Theatre Acting Camp This year’s camp will be staging a production of Cinderella, an original adaptation of the classic fairy tale. A pumpkin coach, Prince Charming, a glass slipper, and a dream come true are woven together by the magic of a Fairy Godmother in this enchanting musical. For children ages 6-16; everyone will be cast in the production.
