Tuthilltown Spirits’ Heart of the Hudson Vodka
Like most Hudson Valleyites, the distillers at Tuthilltown Spirits in Gardiner know that apples are the key to the “heart of the Hudson.” Tuthilltown’s Heart of the Hudson Vodka (far left) is pressed from about 80 Hudson Valley apples, one batch at a time. The apples are then fermented and double distilled in a 20-plate copper pot still to create a genuine batch of apple vodka. It’s not “apple-flavored” vodka as there are no artificial flavors used.
