A trio of NYC dance companies take the stage at Kaatsbaan International Dance Center. First up: Choreographer Jennifer Muller and her company, the Works (June 8 at 7:30 p.m. $30, $10 children). Based on Damon Runyon’s short stories about Prohibition-era New York City — and with a memorable score (“Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat”) by Frank Loesser — Guys and Dolls is considered to be one of Broadway’s all-time greatest musicals. Take a self-guided drive to both private and public garden sites throughout the county, each of which boasts beautiful blooms of every description. This year’s lineup includes Stonecrop Garden in Cold Spring (with its unusual Bamboo Grove) and Boscobel in Garrison (whose Rose Garden has a jaw-dropping view of the Hudson).
