We’re Going on a Bear Hunt

May 10: Based on the children’s classic book of the same name, this musical follows four adventurous friends (pictured above) who are eager to meet a bear. In order to find one, the foursome must traipse through the swishy-swashy grass; forge the splishy-splashy river; and make it through the oozy, squelchy mud. The Monster Who Ate My Peas

May 4: Sometimes little boys just don’t want to eat their peas. So one young tyke enlists the help of a monster to eat them for him. But the monster wants to make a deal: if it eats the peas, then the boy must give it some of his prized possessions. Pretty soon the monster wants more and more, and it becomes too much. Based on the book by Danny Schnitzlein, the musical tells the story of a child who eventually works up enough courage to face his fears. 2 p.m. $9, $7 children. Mother’s Day Tea

May 11: Our moms do an awful lot for us throughout the year. This Mother’s Day, why not treat your mom to a special tea? Held on the grounds of Clermont State Historic Site, the annual event consists of a tour of the circa 1750 house and gardens, and includes tales of mothers who lived there over the years. May 15: America’s favorite Great Dane and Mystery Inc. head to the Tarrytown Music Hall. A mischievous ghost is stirring up trouble at a local theater, and it’s up to Scooby, Shaggy, Fred, Velma, and Daphne to save the day.
