March 22: The Very Hungry Caterpillar The Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia brings its enchanting puppets to the Tarrytown Music Hall. This show adapts three well-known children’s books by Eric Carle for the stage, beginning with the classic, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The little crawler just keeps eating and eating — and then changes into a beautiful butterfly. Come along for the ride with Little Cloud as she travels through the sky. March 8: Berger’s and Frank’s Magic Show Abracadabra! Local magicians Derrin Berger and Frank Monaco are back as part the Rhinebeck Center for Performing Arts Saturday Morning Family series. Combining fun illusions with silly jokes, their performance puts a unique spin on classic tricks — look for gags with cards, balloons, and socks. Midnight Run

March 9: Cinderella Tick tock! Cinderella yearns to go to the ball and meet the prince — but her evil stepmother forces her to stay home and do chores instead. Thankfully, a fairy godmother appears and turns Cinderella’s rags into a beautiful ball gown. But the spell ends at the stroke of midnight; will she make it home before her gown turns back into rags? Bugging Out

March 21: Diary of a Worm, a Spider, and a Fly Going to school for the first time can be pretty nerve-wracking — even if you’re a bug. Worrying Worm wonders if other kids will make fun of her because she doesn’t have any legs. Sassy Spider is nervous to go without first shedding her old skin. And Fearless Fly isn’t sure she can do any of her school work with her 327 brothers and sisters bothering her. This fun musical helps the three new friends realize that sticking together can help everyone overcome their fears. 10 a.m., 12:15 & 7 p.m. $8, $7 under 18. Spin a Web

March 8: Charlotte’s Web Wilbur the pig doesn’t want to become a bacon breakfast. Charlotte the spider steps in to help by spinning creative words that describe him into her web. Her hard work convinces the farmer — and everyone at the local fair — that Wilbur is more than potential for pork. Based on the classic book by E.B.
