Oct. 6: Dalmatian Day We’ve all seen the familiar image of a dalmatian with flopping ears riding in the front seat of a fire truck. The firefighting Fidos take a day off from their usual duties for a meet-and-greet to teach youngsters about fire safety. Kids can make their own crafts and try to beat the record for the fastest bucket brigade. 10 a.m. $5, $2 children five and older, $10 family (2 adults and 2 children). Oct. 20-21, 27-28: Kingston Halloween Train Ghouls and goblins have taken over the Catskill Mountain Railroad! These friendly creatures operate an old-time locomotive to give passengers (who are expected to show up in their best costumes) a 30-minute ride around Kingston.
