Go fly a kite

Aug. 25: Kites Over the Hudson Spend a day on the riverbank with the cool breeze in your hair — and in your kite. This popular end-of-summer event returns to Washington’s Headquarters; the first 150 guests under 16 receive a free kite. Big time band

Aug. 7: Big Time Rush Nickelodeon’s boy band sensation is in the Valley for a summer tour. Aug. 18: T-Shirt Redo No longer appreciate that old, boring tee that’s clogging your drawer? The Discovery Center at the New York State Museum has a solution: Give it a makeover.
