The Putnam National Golf Club was the site of the second annual Putnam County Women of Excellence Awards Banquet on February 3. A total of 18 Putnam women were nominated by friends, family, and coworkers for awards in four categories. Columbia Memorial Hospital and Kaaterskill Care hosted the eighth Annual Winter Blast at Club Helsinki in Hudson on February 4. The event — which featured a New Orleans-based jazz band and a silent auction — raised approximately $115,000 for the hospital and rehab center.
