Hosted by Freihofer’s Run for Women, Albany’s health expo brings more than 10,000 visitors to The Armory at Sage College for family-friendly fun. Explore the healthy wares from local vendors and enter to win big in the onsite raffle. A number of races for kids and adults take place over the course of the two days, so be sure to check out the event schedule ahead of time if you’d like to participate.
Women’s Visionary Film Symposium
CoSM: Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, Wappinger

If you’ve never been to the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors before, now is your chance to explore the psychedelic space, which hosts its first three-day film symposium this weekend. Throughout the course of the festival, leading directors, animators, and artists will screen short and feature-length films on topics that touch upon everything from health and wellness to conservation and plant medicine. On Saturday night, a New Moon Circle will celebrate lunar cycle with live painting, fire spinners, and interactive art.
Wilderstein Fifth Outdoor Sculpture Biennial
Wilderstein Historic Site, Rhinebeck
June 1 – October 31
Plan a drive to Rhinebeck’s picturesque Wilderstein estate to take in the oversized artwork featured in the biennial show. The grounds feature an impressive 25 sculptures in a variety of styles, so take a day to wander the grounds and soak in the sights before venturing into town for some of the most decadent dining in the whole of the Valley.
Craft Market Walk
Gardiner
June 1, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
On Saturday, Gardiner hosts a festive craft market walk to celebrate the talented vendors of the Hudson Valley. Beginning at the Gardiner Library, the market stretches the length of a mile to the farmers’ market grounds, across the rail trail, and all the way to Yard Owl Craft Brewery. Shop locally made wares like natural skincare, pottery, craft brews, and eye-catching jewelry, then sit back and enjoy live music from performers like Shlomo Franklin and Sheila Dee and the Dazzlers.
Wine With Your Canine
Benmarl Winery and Vineyard, Marlboro
June 2, 12-6 p.m.
Bring your pup to Benmarl’s wine weekend event to sip and celebrate for a good cause. Local dog boutiques and rescue organizations will be onsite to educate in the winery’s courtyard, while tastings and raffle drawings will take place throughout the day. If you’d like to go, be sure to register in advance to confirm your attendance. All proceeds from the raffles and fundraising go directly to Lost Pets of the Hudson Valley.
Annual Strawberry Festival
Brinckerhoff House Historic Site, Hopewell Junction
June 2, 1-4 p.m.
Hurray for the return of strawberry season! Brinckerhoff House welcomes the berry-ful bounty with a Hudson Valley festival on Saturday afternoon. Bring the kids for site tours, hayrides, games, crafts, and live music. Whatever you do, don’t quit the grounds without indulging on a little strawberry shortcake. ‘Tis the season, after all!
Also taking place this weekend, the Country Living Fair brings all the crafty, country chic goodness to the Dutchess County Fairgrounds. Further south, the PLUS Polish Festival spotlights pierogi and paczki (Polish donuts) in Tappan. Of course, the signature festivities of the week are without a doubt the region’s Pride-related happenings. From Hudson to Kingston to New Paltz and beyond, the Hudson Valley has quite the lineup of Pride celebrations on the calendar this weekend.
