Bearsville Theater
Beginning in April, this Woodstock venue launched Bearsville Uncut, a weekly Saturday night live stream of iconic and legendary, previously unheard performances from the archives. With almost 20 years of shows in the bank, there is plenty of variety for fans of classic rock, jam bands, reggae, and more.

Dia:Beacon
The venue keeps creativity alive with a complete video library filled with artist talks, book launches, and readings, including conversations between the likes of James Meyer and Barry Le Va. There’s so much to see here that it might just take the entirety of June to get through it all.

The Fisher Center at Bard College
Bard College has a vast archive of live music, dance, theater, and opera, as well as many talks from scholars, authors, and generally eminent folks. Every Wednesday evening, they have been releasing selections from this trove, as well as a broadcast of specially-comissioned digital performances, on the Center’s website, which can then be viewed at any time.

Jacob Burns Film Center
This Pleasantville movie house is offering a virtual screening room to enjoy during the quarantine, in partnership with a number of film distributors. These films were curated by the JBFC programming staff and consist of a wide selection of new releases. Digital screenings can be purchased for $12. In addition, the center’s curators have put together a wealth of lists on the film-tracking site LetterBoxd, providing their own personal recommendations for families, international film snobs, or those looking for a pick-me-up.

Rosendale Theatre
In partnership with Magnolia Pictures, the Rosendale Theatre is offering three movies at this time to stream during the COVID-19 quarantine. All can be rented on the Rosendale Theatre’s webpage for $12 and under, and all proceeds will be split 50/50 between the theatre and Magnolia Pictures.

Shadowland Stages

Story Screen Beacon
Beacon’s movie house has launched a new streaming platform, curating a whole host of indie movies to enjoy while at home. Story Screen has partnered with various film distributors to bring these movies to your computer screens, including Film Movement Puls, Distrib Film, Magnolia Pictures and Kinonow. Films can be rented and streamed for $12 and under through Story Screen’s Digital Theater webpage.

Woodstock Film Festival
In April, this 20-year old film festival launched two programs: “Alternative Projectings,” short- and full-length films curated by their programmers, staff, and alumni that are free to stream to mailing list subscribers. And “Virtual Films & Conversations,” intimate online Q&A sessions with filmmakers, producers, and other industry leaders through Zoom and Facebook Live. All talks are open to members of the public and participants are encouraged to ask questions by leaving a comment or submitting one to our moderator.
