Basilica Hudson
Hudson
Looking for just the place for your wedding? How about your charity fund-raiser, or your one-woman interpretive dance? Take a peek at Basilica Hudson. A reclaimed 19th-century factory, the space is a charming juxtaposition of exposed old brick, wide plank floors, wood beams, and leaded windows, set in the open, Catskills-sighted fields just south of town near the Hudson Amtrak station. Owned and operated by creative directors Melissa Auf der Maur and Tony Stone — a musician and filmmaker, respectively — the venue hosts art exhibits, food and film festivals, private functions, and independent music and theater in both indoor and outdoor spaces. To see it in action, visit Basilica Farm & Flea, a local farm, vintage and handmade objects festival and market held Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 28-30, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. 518-822-1050; www.basilicahudson.com
