Three Wishes
Aug 13: Aladdin Based on the classic stories from 1,001 Arabian Nights, this show follows the adventures of a poor boy who struggles to earn money for his family. It doesn’t take long for an evil sorcerer to trick him into locating a magic lamp. When he does, he unleases a genie who has the power to make all his worries disappear. The two team up to outwit the sorcerer and save Aladdin’s loved ones. 11 am, $9; $7 children. All Shook Up
Aug. 13: Inside Out Last year’s Disney/Pixar animated hit film features the voice talents of funny ladies like Amy Poehler, Mindy Kaling, and Paula Poundstone. The rated-PG story follows a young girl named Riley who finds her life flipped upside down after a big move to a new town, house, and school. To make matters worse, her emotions-—Joy, Sadness, Disgust, and Fear—get literally thrown out of whack in this funny and inventive tale. 8 pm, free admission. Muppet Mania
Aug. 20, 21: The Muppets When Kermit and the gang learn of a dastardly plot to tear down one of the Muppets’ theaters and drill for oil on the location, they enlist the help of Gary (played by Jason Segel) and Mary (played by Amy Adams) to stop it. This 2011 flick, in true Muppets style, also features a star-studded cast of cameos from the likes of Zach Galifianakis, Sarah Silverman, Selena Gomez, Whoopi Goldberg, Emily Blunt, and Mickey Rooney. Harvest Time
Aug. 28: Harvest Festival Back for the 18th year in a row, the wildly popular outdoor festivalcelebrates all things local. The free community event features live music, children’s activities, and a craft village that is sure to keep kids and adults entertained all day. Attendees can also stroll through the on-site farmer’s market highlighting local producs. Curious folks are encouraged to talk with the farmers and learn a bit about where there food comes from and how it’s grown. 11 am-4 pm, free admission, $2 parking fee. Outdoor Adventures
Aug. 20-21: Family Camp Out Pack a tent and a sleeping bag and get ready for nocturnal fun. Campers explore the moonlit trails under the guidance of a naturalist in search of night-time wildlife.
