Festival of Sound

Basilica SoundScape 2016, Sept 16-18

Back for the fifth year, this “anti-festival” gives attendees an eclectic blend of music, live performances, food, and even literature. This year’s musicians include Explosions in the Sky, Wolves in the Throne Room, Uniform, and Mary Lattimore. Organizers are also bringing back the popular “Writers in the Rafters” installment, in which authors read and discuss their work amid the rafters of an industrial building. Featured this year are Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Amber Tamblyn. Sunday’s brunch and marketplace introduces festival-goers to local produce and farmers as well as craftspeople and vintage collectors.
