Upstate Art Weekend

July 17-21

This annual event stretches across 10 counties, supported by a sprawling network of regional artists, galleries, museums, and businesses, attracting visitors from all over the state. Join the weekend-long celebration of art with curated itineraries, tours, pop-ups, and special events; a full list of participants can be found online.

Saugerties Artists Studio Tour

August 9–10

This 23rd annual event is set to showcase a host of new artists, welcoming visitors to their studios all weekend. But don’t wait to enjoy the town’s creative scene: From July 7 through August 11, Saugerties invites you to take an art stroll through its historic village on Market, Main, and Partition streets.

Poughkeepsie Open Studios

September 13–14

Studios, galleries, and businesses around the Union Street Historic District will open their doors for the city’s annual weekend of art and community. In addition, explore activities such as clay-making at Fallkill Creative Works, jewelry-making at Robinson Jewelry Design Studio, and screenings at Good Time Film Studio.

Art Walk Kingston

September 20–21

During this two-day celebration of creativity and community, visitors are invited to check out Kingston’s art scene across three areas of the city, with planned events and open studios showcasing a range of mediums, including drawing, painting, photography, and sculpture.

Rhinebeck Arts Walk

Through October

Every third Saturday, Rhinebeck welcomes visitors to dive into its art scene as select venues open their doors to showcase local work. Look out for receptions and events in galleries, boutiques, coffee shops, and bars for an opportunity to mingle with the artists and one another.

Artful Albany

Year-Round

This arts initiative spotlights the city’s recent boom in public art, popping up across both traditional exhibits and more unconventional spaces. Through its podcast of the same name, Artful Albany offers a self-guided walking tour, leading you to the many colorful Banksy-esque murals scattered around downtown.

Hudson Beach Glass

Beacon Art Walk

Year-Round

Lined with an eclectic mix of art galleries interspersed amongst charming eateries and shops, Main Street is an ideal destination for an artsy stroll. The Beacon Art Walk is your essential guide, offering maps of exhibitions and links to dates and hours. Visit on Second Saturdays, when many galleries open their studios to the public.

Peekskill Sculpture Trail

Year-Round

Beginning at Riverfront Green Park, this trail features a series of both conceptual and classical sculptures set against the scenic backdrop of the Hudson River. Follow the trail through and around Main Street to see more public art, including a handful of bold street murals and sculptures.
