The Alzheimer’s Association Hudson Valley/ Rockland/ Westchester, NY Chapter hosted the Cruise for the Cure on board the Cornucopia Destiny recently (on Friday, April 30th). Guests enjoyed breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline, bid in the silent auction, and danced to the live music of The Gerard Carelli Orchestra. The cruise was a fund and awareness raiser for Alzheimer’s Association programs that provide much needed services to local families affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
The event honored Vincent “Enzo” Simone, local architect, founder of The Regulars, and creator of 10 Mountains in 10 Years: Quest for a Cure. Simone received the Renee Pollack Memorial Award for Distinguished Service. Over ten years, Simone will have climbed the world’s tallest mountains, drawing attention to Alzheimer’s disease in tribute to his mother.
