Songs and Stories of the Civil Rights Movement
The program for “We Shall Overcome” — A Musical Celebration of Martin Luther King was created by piano virtuoso Damien Sneed to pay tribute to the African-American musical traditions that shaped the civil rights movement. His band, specially selected for this show, will perform classics from throughout the repertoire, interspersed with recordings of King’s speeches.
