Where in the Valley: New York's Smallest State Forest

Can you locate this once-towering timber?

This stump once belonged to a 110-ft-tall Eastern cottonwood that dated to 1699. In 2000, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and became the smallest state forest, at 348 sq ft. Alas, 15 years later, structural problems led to removal of most of the tree, but cuttings were taken from it in hopes of propagating a descendant or two.
