Event Summary
On Thursday, October 9, 2014 Hudson Valley Magazine hosted its annual Best of Hudson Valley® Party, a celebration of the region’s finest businesses, services, and eateries as voted by readers and editors. More than 1,300 guests gathered at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel for three hours of noshing, mingling, drinking, and dancing.

The Vendors
Four rooms with more than 70 businesses offered tapas, cocktails, party favors — and even pink hair extensions in honor of Breast Cancer awareness month. The party wrapped up with a raffle of items donated by Best of Hudson Valley® winners.

The Entertainment
Live entertainment — including local favorites Hal Prince Music, Music Speaks Volumes, and The Differents — kept guests’ toes tapping while they sampled everything from bacon-topped cupcakes to signature cocktails.

The Charity
Hudson Valley Magazine was proud to partner with our official 2014 Best of Hudson Valley® Party charity, the Grace Smith House, based in Poughkeepsie. The private not-for-profit domestic violence agency provides both residential and non-residential services to victims of domestic violence and their children.

The exquisite Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel, situated on historic Market Street, opened its doors to more than 1,300 partygoers.
