Firefly Power Yoga is a power vinyasa studio offering more than 30 classes weekly with teachers who have trained globally and continue to grow in their practices. MaryRose Donaghy founded Firefly Power Yoga as a yoga studio centered around deep connection, play and physicalness, and will be celebrating 8 years in business this February. She has trained over 1000 hours in Baptiste Yoga and other styles, has lead 200 hour and 300 hour teacher training programs and has been teaching for more than 10 years. Donaghy is also a Certified Lightyear coach and trained facilitator in Personal Legacy, a vision and goal setting program.
The studio offers power vinyasa yoga (heated vinyasa yoga), vin yoga, slow flow, restorative yoga, advanced asana, yoga sculpt and meditation. Whether it be deep stretch or yin yoga, there’s something for everyone and classes can serve all levels from beginner to more advanced. Firefly’s power vinyasa yoga stems from drishti, also known as focus, and leads with breath, foundation and core.
Firefly Power Yoga is open 7 days a week with classes as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 7:45 p.m. The goal is to make it possible for anyone to come and find a class for their schedule. There are both heated and unheated classes at the studio. For heated classes, the temperature is set at 90-96 degrees to help with cleansing your body and warming your muscles.
Special programs and offers include: 30-day trial for new students – $59, gold membership -$125 (auto-renew with unlimited yoga), family membership – $165 (valid for 2 members and $50 for each additional family member), teacher training and 40 days to personal revolution.
To anyone new, “Welcome! Join us in a rigorous practice of yoga with a sense of lightness and play. Let it get messy, give yourself the grace to be easy and have fun! We are here for you,” says Donaghy.
The focus at Firefly Power Yoga is empowerment and growth and all of the instructors train to ignite that inner fire when practicing and teaching. As they are personally reaching for depth and growth at class, they are also requesting students to take action at class on their mats too.
During the challenging times with the pandemic, “people can be clear, connect and feel a sense of joy and community,” says Donaghy.
