The Face of a 100-Year-Old Farm Market & Garden Center: Adams Fairacre Farms

Our roots trace back to 1919 when Ralph A. and Mary Adams sold their first vegetables from a roadside stand in Poughkeepsie with a simple goal of providing fresh, local produce to our community. Over a century later, we’ve grown from a humble farmstand to five stores. In 2024, we were accredited as a Great Place to Work and recognized by Forbes as one of America’s Best Midsize Employers, officially ranking #226 nationwide and #6 in Upstate New York. Giving back is woven into our culture, and we’re thankful for opportunities to support local causes, charities, and food pantries that strengthen our community. At Adams, we strive to provide fresh quality foods as well as needs for your garden, and remain rooted in serving the Hudson Valley.
