GirlSummer is Emma Willard School’s signature summer program, offering girls entering 2nd to 9th grades an enriching, personalized, and fun two-week experience. With two sessions starting July 10 and July 24, your child will find the perfect time to explore, play, and learn on our vibrant campus in Troy, NY. Participants choose their electives to match their interests and goals, likely trying something new! The Writer’s Retreat program offers participants an immersive morning filled with creative writing, capping their day off with two electives of their choosing. Garrison Art Center offers three different summer programs for kids and teens that center on art, creativity, exploration, and most importantly, having fun in our professional artist studios located on the Hudson River. Summer Arts on the Hudson is a full-day 2-week session for K-8th grade, June 26 to July 7 and July 10 to July 21st. Summer Art Institute is for teens in 9th-12th grade and runs July 24 to August 4. Art a la Carte is for kids in 2nd through 8th grade and runs from August 7 to 18 for a full- or half-day, one week or two.

High Meadow School offers recreational day camp for ages 3 to rising 2nd graders and themed day camp for rising 3rd through 8th graders, featuring Wayfinder Experience and Westchester Circus Arts. Camp Hillcroft, under the guidance of our mature and supportive staff, helps children achieve these goals. The Reading Barn gives your child a fun and creative experience, enhancing his or her reading, writing, and math skills in a beautiful outdoor setting. The Barn is located on rural farmland with a majestic view of the Catskill Mountains. Our classrooms mimic the shape of the barns that surround them, and our creative arts classes are conducted in an open-air pavilion, all within the safety and serenity of breathtaking Millbrook, NY. We custom design an academic program to meet each child’s individual needs. The program is limited to 35 children each summer.

At Wild Earth, all of the senses are engaged, as campers meet local plants and animals, learn wilderness skills, create natural crafts, build deep connections with friends, and become inspired by adult and teen mentors. Guided by patterns we’ve observed in nature, we begin each day by gathering in the woods through songs, expressing gratitude, and finding new ways to play. We form smaller groups and set up camp in the forest by building fire pits and shelters. Our instructors tailor activities to the interests of the campers, fostering curiosity and guiding learning through skillful questions, opportunities for appropriate risk-taking and empowering challenges.
